I bought this as a replacement to a cheaper carrying case (not a Case Logic or Targus). That one wore out after a year (edges frayed, handles ripped off, etc.). Though I've only had this one a short time, it will take years to wear this baby out. Yes, it's more expensive than most, but sometimes you really do get what you pay for and this is a high quality laptop carrying case. There are plenty of pockets to carry your power cord, ipod, smartphone, files, reading material, kindle, etc. The layout is excellent. It is a bigger bag, so if you want slim and trim and don't need to bring other stuff this bag will feel like a suitcase. Wish I started at the high end instead of the low end, would have made traveling with my laptop and stuff much easier.

I am giving the item less star, not because of its quality or anything but my own requirements. I -myself- deserve even fewer number of stars for not paying attention to the huge size of this case:

This is more of a travel luggage than a simple office case!
(You can put in it your laptop, iPad, kindle, cables, books, notes, electric razer,.... and even some clothe! ...)

So I decided to keep the case just "in case" I have to go for some occasional trip .... although I now wonder how frequent such occasions might be, or if we are allowed at all to carry such a large bag (packed with electronic devices) into an airplane without violating the new flight regulations in different countries?? (If not: the case is not strong enough to protect your delicate devices if placed under heavy load or thrown into a cargo ... Trust me!)
